Canyonlands and Arches National Park
We spent a week on the road and 5 of 7 nights in a tent. We left Oklahoma and headed west. Our first night was in a small hotel near the highway in New Mexico. Mesa Verde, Canyonlands and Arches National Park.

Northwest OHV - Bridgeport, Texas
November 3rd, Hill and I took the TJ to Northwest OHV in Bridgeport, Tx. We have visited the area before in my white Silverado, but due to its size, it wasn't very manueverable in the Northwest OHV area.

The image above is a combination of Google Earth and my Garmin Colorado GPS unit. Each of the white squares is when the GPS noted elevation, barometric and/or temperature change. Pretty cool unit!

During this hill climb, I belive we may have bent a control arm. Nothing obviously damaged, but we're now experiencing a suspension "pop." This was a very steep hill - Hill left it in 4Lo and held on!

A trip without wheels..
Hill and I visited Roosevelt national forest without a 4wd, but still had a great adventure in the short time we had.
The panorama pics were taken with the iPhone app titled Photosynth- a very cool, easy to use app. More photos to come!

First Post
I hope to share the trips and adventures my wife Hill, and I have in our 4-wheel drive vehicles here. I have always had a love of vehicles and thought i had some clue about offroading, but realized the knowledge of offroading was totally false the first time Hill and I decided to actually hit a trail. Smoking a clutch, not airing down tires enough, auxillary lights blowing fuses (never could figure out why), all on a trail about seven hours from our home.
